Seasonal Fresh Produce
Seasonally, we offer rhubarb, pears, peaches, plums, cherries, tomatoes, and peppers. Occasionally we have beans, turnips, and eggplant. No chemicals are involved with production; especially not pesticides due to our honeybees foraging in our gardens. Our poultry is raised in our garden which helps naturally reduce the bugs present in the produce, as well as adds natural fertilizer.
We also have 15 Aronia berry bushes. We were introduced to the Aronia berry around 2015 and we fell in love with the benefits. Some research shows that aronia berries can slow the growth of cancerous cells. But the main affect on overall health is they have been proven to slow the rate of sugar absorption which helps in insulin and immune function. They also have high antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory benefits. We try to incorporate them in smoothies and cereal. We sell these in 1-quart bags for $10 per bag. They are harvested in August and are available yearly by September 1st.
